Recruiting young educators now...

Could you help design the ideal sex and relationships course for other teenagers?

The National Children’s Bureau is creating a new sex and relationships education course for young people. The course is to help young people get the best from relationships and avoid situations where they can be exploited and harmed.

We are recruiting six ‘young educators’ (aged 14-19) to help us make sure that the course is written and designed in a way that connects with teenagers.

  • You could be the young educator we are looking for if:
  • You have been supported by a service for young people at risk of unhealthy or exploitative relationships
  • You want to improve relationships education for other young people
  • You are happy to share your experience of relationships education
  • You  like to meet other young people from across the country
  • You would like to gain new skills and work alongside professional writers and designers
  • You can give up 3 Saturdays to come to workshops on 7th December, 18th January and 1st March
  • You can  get to London and back home (e.g. by train) within a day

All travel expenses will be covered and you will be given a £20 voucher for each of the 3 Saturday workshops as a token of our thanks. We can also pay travel expenses for accompanying adults if necessary. You will need written consent from your parent or carer to participate in the project.

If you want to take part in the project please download and complete the application form and email it to elewis@ncb.org.uk by Monday 18th November. If we get more than 6 applicants we will pick young people at random.
