What is Outside the Box
Outside the Box is a personal development, relationships and sex education (RSE) programme designed for small group delivery with young people at higher risk of sexual exploitation or other vulnerability. The programme comprises eight interactive workshop sessions, delivered by specially trained practitioners, to small groups of young people (or individuals) aged from 11 – 18 years old.
To use the Outside the Box programme, practitioners must attend a training course. This is available remotely across 2 days in Feb / March 2022.
Dates and times
- Day 1 - Thursday 17 February 202
- Day 2 - Thursday 3 March 2022
Training runs from 09:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 15:30 on both days. It is essential to attend Day 1 and Day 2.
Who is the training suitable for? Delegates on the course will be practitioners working with vulnerable young people and with access to young people with whom they can deliver workshops or education sessions to over a series of 8 – 10 sessions. The course is suitable for multi-disciplinary practitioners such as youth workers, social workers, teachers and nurses.
