The first of a pair of online webinars from the Sex Education Forum which will address key issues to support preparation for high quality, statutory RSE. Ideal for RSHE and PSHE education leads and Senior Leadership Team.
The session will be facilitated by our Director, Lucy Emmerson, with accompanying slides that will be sent to delegates afterwards together with a copy of our 'Parental engagement survey questions'. This is an interactive webinar with opportunity to share practice with peers and ask your questions. Running time is 75 minutes.
In this session we will:
- Get an understanding of the legislative requirements for parental consultation about RSE
- Consider appropriate methods for consultation
- Identify how pupil consultation and parent consultation can work together to inform a schools' RSE provision
- There will be opportunities to ask questions and to share practice with others.
The second webinar of the pair is 'Defining RSE and building a developmental, evidence-based curriculum'. This is available the following week: Wednesday 29th April.
