Strangulation during sex: a knowledge update for RSE Educators

We are hosting an online event exclusively for our members on 11th June 2025 with The Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS).

During this session we will hear from the team at the Institute For Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) who will share findings from the IFAS pilot survey 'Strangulation During Consensual Sex in the UK: A report on findings from a pilot survey conducted in October 2024'.

This knowledge update will be an opportunity to share information about IFAS research and expertise.

Who is the event aimed at?

Sex Education Forum members. The event is designed to support educators around the topic, and to open a conversation about safely approaching the issue of strangulation during sex.
