Join us for the first members' event of the new academic year, taking place during Sexual Health Week 2026, as we put young people's voices at the heart of the conversation. Through a series of case studies and a live youth panel, you'll hear how young people have helped shape sexual health education, information and services in different communities and settings, and what professionals can learn from their experiences and perspectives.
Bringing together educators, public health providers, youth organisations and young people themselves, the session will showcase practical examples of inclusive, youth-centred practice that improve access, engagement and outcomes.
Aligned with the Sex Education Forum's 2026–30 strategy, this event showcases our commitment to youth voice and convening by bringing together young people and organisations from across sectors to share learning, strengthen practice and improve sexual health outcomes.
This session will cover:
-
Examples of practice improving access to sexual health services and information
-
How services have identified and addressed barriers for different groups of young people in accessing sexual health information and how this impacts RSE in schools
-
Approaches for involving young people meaningfully in shaping provision
-
Insights from diverse contexts, including migrant groups and transitions to secondary school
-
Perspectives from young people through a panel discussion
