Managing ‘No’: Skills-based education for processing rejection

Rejection is an intrinsic part of human relationships. Learning how to cope with the feelings involved and practising the skills to navigate feelings of rejection and how to move on are fundamental to healthy, respectful relationships and to emotional wellbeing.

In this event for members of the Sex Education Forum, guests Sarah Jackson and Caroline Kemp-Harris will tell us how Brighton and Hove City Council PSHE Team have worked with children and staff in primary schools to develop an innovative unit of Relationships Education. These lessons are designed to support all primary children from Reception to Year 6 to develop an understanding and practical skill-set for friendships that encompasses healthy approaches to rejection.

Who is the event aimed at?

Sex Education Forum members.
