Terms and conditions of bookings with Sex Education Forum

1) Values and principles
We ask that all training delegates behave respectfully during our training, in alignment with the Sex Education Forum values and principles for RSE.

2) Materials shared with training attendees / delegates
Slides are provided for training attendees after they have attended a course. These slides are provided for training attendees who attended a specified event and may be shown to relevant colleagues of those attending. Please do not circulate slides outside of the attendees’ organisations. The materials include intellectual property of the Sex Education Forum.

3) Cancellation of commissioned training
We understand that occasionally a training session commissioned from the Sex Education Forum cannot go ahead as planned due to unforeseen circumstances.  We always endeavour to find an alternative method of delivery or alternative date. However, if you needed to cancel a training event and we were unable to reschedule at a time suitable for our staff to deliver the training, and within a period of 3 months from the original booking, then our cancellation policy would apply as follows:

Cancellation of a confirmed, commissioned training session:

  • with less than 4 weeks’ notice: 25% of the fee payable;
  • less than 2 weeks’ notice: 50% plus any expenses incurred;
  • less than 72 hours’ notice: full fee payable

4) Cancellation of ‘open access’ training
Bookings for ‘open access’ training courses are taken via Eventbrite. Cancellation terms vary depending on the course, please check individual courses for details. Refunds can be requested via Eventbrite. Places booked on a course can usually be transferred to a different individual. Sufficient notice needs to be provided for Sex Education Forum to administer such changes.

5) Information for face-to-face events, in respect of Covid-19
For face-to-face training, the Sex Education Forum are bound to comply with any applicable Government Covid-19 restrictions that may be in place on the date of delivery. We therefore reserve the right to switch to remote delivery if necessary to be able to fulfil your booking. This would include blanket restrictions affecting travel to, from or through certain areas, as well as the individual Sex Education Forum trainer or members of school staff having to self-isolate because of Covid-19 or contact with a positive case.

At the point of booking a face-to-face event, we may request:

  • Sex Education Forum staff may elect to wear a mask or visor during all or part of the training
