Sir Anthony Seldon at Countdown to Statutory RSE: A conference for independent schools

We are delighted that Sir Anthony Seldon, one of Britain’s leading educationalists and contemporary thinkers, will be delivering a keynote speech at our upcoming Countdown conference for independent schools. With over 20 years’ experience as a transformative head, Sir Anthony will be exploring the impact of statutory Relationships and Sex Education for pupil wellbeing.

Sit Anthony Seldon headshotSir Anthony will be joined by a distinguished array of speakers, including Dr Margot Waddell, Fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis, who will examine how new understandings of the nature of adolescence can inform approaches to RSE. Independent schools, including Wimbledon High School, Oakham and Lanesborough Prep will present the findings from the RSE Student Ambassador programme and the Director of Sex Education Forum, Lucy Emmerson, will present the latest policy updates as the countdown to statutory RSE gathers pace.

In addition to these presentations, delegates will have the opportunity to attend three workshops on varied topics including RSE through the science curriculum, trans inclusive RSE and effective assessment. Dr Eleanor Draeger, specialist sexual health doctor, will be addressing new issues in sexual health, offering fascinating insights into this crucial element of statutory RSE.
